My skincare obsession 😅
So back on Halloween 2021, my mom told me that morning to put a lid on my coffee mug. I had no idea the chaos that was about to go down.
I was twisting the lid, trying to get it on just right, when the mug suddenly flipped backward and sideways ☕🔥
Hot coffee went everywhere — it burned my right arm, right breast, and right thigh. My arm and thigh definitely got the worst of it 😬
On Monday, November 1, 2021, the physician assistant checked everything and diagnosed:
– Partial‑thickness burn on my right forearm
– Partial‑thickness burn on my right thigh
– Superficial burn on my right breast
Absolutely not the kind of Halloween surprise anyone wants 😭💀
They told me to pick up silver sulfadiazine and use it with Xeroform gauze until my doctor appointment on the ninth.
Then I had an office visit with Catherine Mills Curtin, MD on 11/9/2021 at the Hand & Upper Extremity Center.
The doctor had me put Silvadene cream on the wound twice a day and said it was okay to start showering over the area. After applying the Silvadene, I could use Adaptic and then wrap it with dry gauze. Same thing for my right thigh.
Mom did all of this for me 💛
After that, we talked about putting cocoa butter lotion on the dorsal side of my forearm and continuing Silvadene + Adaptic on the more proximal wound. After a week, I could stop using Silvadene and Adaptic on that spot and switch to dry dressings with the lotion.
Mom helped me that whole week, using Sky Organics cocoa butter and Palmer’s cocoa butter lotion.
After my last visit, I got told to moisturize better — and that’s what kicked my butt into gear… and got me wanting to try other butters.
Hence my obsession with… shea butter! ✨
I started looking up shea butter challenges and was told I couldn’t try until January, but once January hit… the obsession began! 🧴💛

I always wanted to record stuff when I was a kid… and when Michelle helped me chase that dream back in 2013, I just couldn’t stop 😂
I kicked things off with a site called the Blindcentral Podcast — yeahhh, terrible name, I know 🤣
Then it evolved into Accessdragons, and eventually The Sunlightbirdie Show, which stayed its name until Michelle passed.
Somewhere along the way… my random obsession with lav mics started, and honestly?
It still hasn’t stopped 😅🎤This site’s just my little corner to ramble — but mostly for y’all to have fun with whatever I post 😄✨
